A corporate golf day is one of the most popular client entertainment formats in Australia — and one where timing mistakes are immediately visible. A delayed shotgun start, a missing sponsor activity, or a late presentation dinner can undermine an otherwise excellent event. This run sheet template helps organisers coordinate the pro shop, catering team, sponsors, and prize presentation to deliver a seamless day on and off the course.

Confirm player handicaps and format (Stableford, stroke, or ambrose) well in advance and communicate to all players.
Coordinate with the golf club's pro shop on tee times, cart allocation, and course rules.
Place sponsor signage and hole activities (closest to pin, longest drive) the morning of the event before players arrive.
Have a wet-weather policy and communication plan ready in case of rain.
Confirm dietary requirements for the presentation dinner from player registration data.
Ambrose (best-ball scramble) is the most popular format for corporate golf days because it accommodates players of all skill levels and keeps pace of play fast. Stableford is better suited to events where players have established handicaps. Avoid stroke play formats for corporate events as they can slow the day considerably.
Budget 4.5–5 hours for 18 holes with an ambrose format, plus 1 hour for registration and breakfast, and 2–3 hours for the post-round cocktail hour and presentation dinner. Most corporate golf days run from approximately 7:00am to 5:00pm.
Most golf courses can accommodate 72–144 players in a shotgun start format (18–36 groups of 4). For a more exclusive client event, 40–80 players works well. Consider the ratio of clients to staff — a 2:2 split per group (two clients and two hosts per cart) maximises relationship-building time on the course.
