A floor plan is a critical planning and communication tool. It shows how the available floor space is used, including fire egress paths, table layouts, stage positions, AV equipment placement, and catering stations. Floor plans are shared with the venue, AV company, caterer, and client for approval before load-in begins. Changes to the floor plan after this point can have cascading implications for all vendors.
