A technical diagram showing the placement of every lighting fixture, the areas they illuminate, and the colours used.
Lighting plots are prepared by the lighting designer and shared with the venue and AV company before load-in. They show where each fixture is hung or positioned, which areas of the stage or room each light covers, what colour gels or LED settings are used, and how the rig connects to the dimmer packs and lighting console. A well-drawn lighting plot ensures the team can set the rig efficiently and achieve the desired look.
