A full-group session where all event attendees gather in a single room — the main session of a conference.
Plenary sessions are the anchor points of most conferences and summits. They feature keynote speakers, panel discussions, or award presentations and are designed so every attendee hears the same message at the same time. Plenaries are typically held in the largest room and require the most AV and production investment. The programme structure of a conference alternates between plenaries and breakout sessions.
