The person responsible for all technical and logistical production elements of an event, including AV, staging, and crew coordination.
The production manager (PM) is the senior technical figure on an event, overseeing everything from AV specifications and staging design to crew scheduling and load-in logistics. They liaise between the event manager and all technical suppliers, review technical riders, draft production schedules, and ensure the technical delivery meets the creative brief. On large-scale events, the PM may manage a team of department heads across audio, lighting, video, and staging.
