The process of dismantling and removing all equipment and décor from a venue after an event ends.
Strike (also called bump-out or load-out) begins once all guests have left. Every vendor retrieves their equipment, staging is taken down, and the venue is returned to its base condition. The order of strike is essentially the reverse of load-in — décor and catering items go first, then furniture, then AV, and finally heavy staging. Venues allocate a fixed number of hours for strike, and overtime charges apply if crews run long.
