Any external company or individual providing goods or services for an event — venues, caterers, AV companies, and more.
Supplier and vendor are often used interchangeably in the event industry. 'Supplier' tends to be used more broadly to include the venue, whereas 'vendor' sometimes refers more specifically to service providers within the event. Managing supplier relationships — from briefing through to final payment — is a core responsibility of the event coordinator or manager.
